A PAT blade (Power-Angle-Tilt) is a versatile blade good for leveling and scraping harder materials. An angle blade is a good option for moving soft or medium-hard soil, snow, or gravel. The narrower, slightly curved S-U-blade combines the best elements of both for tasks such as backfilling and crowning it’s great for pushing soil over long distances. A U-blade is designed for ditching, pushing, and material handling. An S-blade works well for stumping, backfilling, and grading uneven terrain. What bulldozer blades or attachments are best for my project?Ī variety of blades and attachments can be used for different kinds of jobs involving different loads and weights. The largest bulldozers (200-249 hp) can be found clearing roads after natural disasters and working at demolition sites. Larger machines (140-149 hp) are commonly used to dig and level ground at worksites. Small dozers (70-79 hp) can be used to clear a residential lot, move rocks, plow snow, remove tree trunks, or remove asphalt from a roadside. Our models range from 70 hp at the low end all the way up to 249 hp. Wheel dozers can handle heavy-duty tasks, too, but they’re more maneuverable than crawlers they’re good for leveling and moving material on relatively smooth surfaces that don’t require extra traction. Crawler or track bulldozers provide extra traction for moving heavy materials over rough terrain. Mini dozers are versatile and easy to maneuver in small spaces while working on driveways, residential areas, and snowy areas. Like I said before I have two pieces that keep me fairly steady, with my investment the return is far greater than running some bigger stuff. They will not even pull they're stuff on a farm. These guys are pretty heavy hitters, they do commercial stuff like Walmart, most industrial developments around here. They use it to push 621 scrapers as well as general dozing.
Another local guy has a 7R bought it new, its a hoss cat, but its also diff steer with a good cab.
If I needed a straight push tractor and a good 7G comes along I wouldn't hesitate. The ease of operation versus a 7F, G is not comparable. Fabick Rents, the Cat Rental Store provides rental options for Cat machines like skid steer loaders, excavators, dozers, compactors. Myself along with other locals have talked about this before.
Doing technical stuff turning and such is where the 6 H, R, T shines. From my experience being around a D7F, in a straight push, it will work a 6H in the ground. As far a the 6R out working a 7G, I can't say for the 7G. I've ran a 6H, 6R not a T but we had another contractor work along with us that had a T.
